Description
Entirely instrumental except for one track, the album draws inspiration from books, films, and artworks that explore natural disasters and humanity’s fascination with its own demise.
A narrative object in itself, the album is divided into two parts:
The first four tracks evoke the imminence of the catastrophe, its unfolding, and its climax—symbolized by the track Thousand Exploding Suns.
The following four represent “the aftermath.”
After releasing two EPs in 2012 and 2014, Gabriel Legeleux released his debut album Opening in April 2015 on his own label, Combien Mille Records. A tour followed, taking him across France, Europe, Asia, and America.
He also directed and co-composed DJ Pone’s first album, produced a track on Nekfeu’s debut album, and composed the soundtrack for the documentary À Voix Haute, broadcast on France 2 in November 2016.
Superpoze is currently composing the music for a new play by Marc Lainé, writer and stage director, which will tour in fall/winter 2017–2018.
Available on CD & Vinyl.
The vinyl edition includes a 64-page collector’s booklet.
