NSDOS's new project, Activate Cities, took shape following his encounter with author Noam Assayag, who, in his essay, develops a philosophical and practical reflection on ambulatory art. Starting from the observation that cities are increasingly being reduced to their purely utilitarian function, Assayag proposes to reactivate their sensory potential through itinerant artistic experiences, initiating a new relationship with urban space.

This vision immediately resonates with NSDOS, whose sound practice has always drawn inspiration from the environment as a living, three-dimensional organism. After initiating his compositions with bodily movement, he has been exploring the dynamics of places for several years. His recent EPs, with enigmatic titles such as ///champignonner.photomontage.ultrasonique, reflect this spatial thinking through the use of GPS coordinates as sound material.

The Activate Cities album is thus conceived as a musical extension of the book, a bridge between theory and creation, a dialogue between writing and composition.
