Description
Nicolas Séguy was born in Nemours, between village and town, in 1982.
He began violin at age 4 and piano at age 5. He wrote, developed a passion for Hip-Hop culture, composed beats for his middle-school friends, and formed his first groups: Face Cachée and Energu-Men Posse. During his sound-engineering studies, Nicolas realized that his music and lyrics could flourish through the short films made by other students. In 2001, he began an active collaboration with the Collectif Quatre Ailes, for whom he has been scoring theatre pieces ever since.
Le Monstre—a picture book of magical collages, eclectic yet obvious, intimate yet universal—is Nicolas Séguy’s new album. The visual creations of Jason Destrait open the way to a new world: one of pure artistic freedom, of the inner peace needed to encounter the other—every other.
