Description
Without recourse to outside collaborations, the project highlights Selug's raw talent, whose poignant writing never ceases to impress. Le monde qui me tombe sur la tête stands out as a moving, coherent project brimming with technical skill. Selug explores a variety of themes, oscillating between the doubts and sufferings of the past, confidence in future success, and the emotional balance to be achieved.

As producer of all the tracks on the project, $enar imbues each track with his distinctive sonic signature, with a variety of rhythms ranging from cloud rap to 2step, as well as electronic and drumless influences. The melodies, sometimes industrial, sometimes astral and spacey, create a rich, immersive sonic atmosphere.

The album draws its cinematic inspiration from Mr. Robot and its protagonist Elliot Alderson, symbolizing the duality present in Selug & $enar. Like the series' main character, confronted with moral dilemmas and inner duality, Selug expresses these same nuances through his lyrics. Themes of distrust of reality, inner battles and emotional conspiracies resonate throughout the texts. This reference manifests itself throughout the project, adding another layer to the album's emotional and conceptual depth.
