MaMaMa

MaMaMa

Paris France

MaMaMa, aka Elliot Diener, crafts an intimate and ethereal pop sound where electronics and organic instruments blend with lyrics that are both playful and introspective. After starting out as Petit Prince, he became MaMaMa (meaning "grandma" in Alsatian) as a tribute to his roots and the maternal figures who inspire him. Selected by FIP for their 2024 program "Hier sera meilleur" (Yesterday Will Be Better), he returns in the fall of 2026 with an even more sincere pop, organic, and psychedelic album. Inspired by the audacity of Flavien Berger, the lyrical flair of Feu! Chatterton, and Mount Kimbie's approach to sound and rhythm (the album was finalized with the British duo's producer), EST stands out with its genuine French songs, composed in his studio in Pantin, after two albums where the production sometimes dominated the sound. Eleven joyful, nostalgic, and uplifting tracks that demonstrate how this Strasbourg native, Parisian by adoption, musician, arranger, singer, composer, and producer constantly reinvents himself. For this new album, he draws on local tales and legends, proudly wears the traditional headdress of his ancestors, and invents his own contemporary, dreamlike, and ritualistic folklore to illuminate his lyrics about intimacy, human relationships, and their darker aspects. Hopla, as they say back home 🥨.
