The Library Archive Vol 2
Description
Recorded over a series of sessions in the treasure trove that is the Alladins' cave home to ATA Studios and its collection of vintage recording gear - this album features many of the label’s core musicians, also known from their work with The Sorcerers, Work Money Death, and The Lewis Express.
Praised by library music enthusiast Shawn Lee and none other than the British Library’s own musical legend Alan Hawkshaw, The Library Archive Vol. 1 was met with great acclaim, making a follow-up all but inevitable. Recorded in the fall of 2020, The Library Archive Vol. 2 still has the golden age of European library music clearly in its sights, but this time places greater emphasis on the lo-fi organ work reminiscent of the Italian quartet I Marc 4.
Each track was carefully crafted with a keen ear for authenticity and the same meticulous attention to detail showcased on The Library Archive Vol. 1, using the same instruments, equipment, and recording techniques as the music that inspired it.
