Description
Le Sacre du Tympan has been my orchestra and instrument of expression for 25 years. With this ensemble, whose variable lineup boasts around ten albums and numerous concerts in France and abroad, I express myself as both a composer and arranger. In 2008, we created a program for the Jazz à la Villette festival with five musicians, focusing on electronic music and synthesizers in the music of De Roubaix, a pioneer of the home studio and synthesizers. In 2015, we recorded this program. For the composer's 50th anniversary in 2025, I would like to expand the program to include orchestral music, which is also very present in his work. This will highlight the timeless aspect of his music while also juxtaposing it with the works of other composers, demonstrating the influence he has had, including on legends such as Morricone, Michel Legrand, and John Barry. Revisiting the compositions of François de Roubaix will highlight the richness of themes, harmonies, and timbres that emanate from his works, which have spanned decades, emphasizing their intergenerational appeal to all audiences.
